Vivo X200T India launch on January 27th: what’s confirmed and what’s expected
Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo X200T will launch in India on January 27th, 2026, adding a new model to the company’s flagship X200 lineup. The brand is positioning the phone around photography and real-world performance, with a focus on ZEISS-tuned cameras and everyday usability. It’s the first time Vivo is introducing a T model in the flagship lineup, and also after the new Vivo X300 flagship lineup has already debuted.
What Vivo has officially confirmed
The company has revealed that the X200T will feature an all-50MP ZEISS camera system aimed at travel and street photography. The setup could include a main camera, an ultra-wide, and a periscope telephoto lens. Vivo says the phone is designed to capture detailed city landscapes and natural-looking portraits with ZEISS colour tuning. The device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset and will run OriginOS 6 out of the box. Fast charging support has also been confirmed, though exact speeds have not been announced yet. Vivo is pitching the X200T as a flagship experience built for everyday scenarios rather than benchmark numbers, suggesting a balance between camera quality, battery life, and sustained performance.

Leaks indicate that the Vivo X200T could sit between the existing X200 and the X200 FE, acting as a more affordable flagship option. The phone is tipped to feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making it slightly larger than the standard X200. Battery capacity is expected to be 6,200mAh, lower than the 6,500mAh unit on the X200 FE. While still large by flagship standards, it falls short of battery-focused rivals like the OnePlus 15R, which offers a 7,000mAh cell. Charging is rumoured to support 90W wired and 40W wireless speeds.
Vivo has traditionally used its T-series for mid-range devices, but the X200T suggests the strategy is moving to the flagship segment as well. Brands like OnePlus and iQOO already follow a similar approach, offering multiple models around the same core platform to hit different price points. The X200T could play the role of a value flagship between the premium X200 and the compact X200 FE.
Pricing for the Vivo X200T had also leaked recently. The X200T is said to arrive in two variants: 12GB + 256GB at Rs 59,999 and 12GB + 512GB at Rs 69,999. If Vivo continues with this pricing, then the X200T would face stiff competition, as competition in the Rs 60,000 bracket is intense. Vivo’s biggest advantage is likely to be the camera system and ZEISS tuning, areas where the brand has consistently performed well.
For users who prioritise photography and portraits, the Vivo X200T could be one of the stronger options under Rs 60,000, especially if the periscope zoom and ZEISS processing match Vivo’s previous flagships. Travellers and content creators may appreciate the balanced camera setup more than raw performance numbers.
However, buyers looking mainly for long battery life might find phones like the OnePlus 15R more appealing due to the larger 7,000mAh cell. Gamers should also compare sustained performance and thermals once reviews are out, since the Dimensity 9400+ is from the previous generation. With the launch just days away, pricing and camera performance will decide whether the X200T becomes a practical alternative to the X200 or simply a trimmed-down variant.
