Highlights
  • Vivo might release a 5G variant of the Y32 soon.
  • The 4G version was launched earlier this month.
  • Vivo Y32 5G has appeared in the Google Play Console database.

Vivo launched the Y32 4G earlier this month in select global markets, including Bangladesh and Nepal. Now, the brand might be preparing to launch the 5G version of the Y32 smartphone. With the 4G variant already available, Vivo would be offering buyers a 5G option for faster connectivity. 91mobiles has spotted the Vivo Y32 5G in the Google Play Console database. The listing reveals a few details about the Vivo Y32 5G, but more importantly, confirms the phone’s imminent launch. The smartphone was also spotted in the IMEI database in early September.

Vivo Y32 5G Google Play Console listing

The Vivo Y32 5G has been listed on the Google Play Console database with the model number V2639. The listing reveals the phone is running a Qualcomm SM4450 chipset, which is the internal model number for the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. This is a 4nm 5G chipset for the budget segment. The Google Play database also confirms 4GB RAM and an HD+ display (720 x 1592 pixels) for the Vivo Y32 5G.

The listing also shows the front design of the Vivo Y32 5G, confirming a flat panel with a punch-hole camera and thick bezels. The power button and volume keys are on the right side of the phone.

Compared to the Vivo Y32 4G, the 5G variant gets a better processor, which was expected since it supports 5G connectivity. The display resolution remains the same, though. The Vivo Y32 4G stands out for its large 8,000mAh battery and 50MP main camera. So even though it only supports 4G, the handset still has impressive hardware. The Vivo Y32 5G is expected to offer similar specs or offer upgrades in certain areas.

The Vivo Y32 5G hasn’t been officially confirmed, so we don’t yet know its complete specifications. Given the early leak, it’s advisable to wait for official confirmation and full specs before making a decision. If you currently own a 4G phone and are looking for an affordable entry into 5G, this could be an option. But you should still compare the phone with alternatives that may offer a faster chipset or better display.
