Vivo could be adding another phone to its X200 lineup, and early leaks suggest this one may take a slightly different route from past models. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, who shared details on X, the upcoming Vivo X200T is expected to launch in India by the end of January 2026.
The name itself is interesting. Vivo’s X series has so far included monikers like the X300, X300 Pro, X200 Ultra, X200s, X200 Pro Mini and even a smaller X200 FE, but none have carried a ‘T’ suffix. Vivo has a separate T series, which sits much lower in its lineup. If the leaks are accurate, the X200T would be the first time Vivo introduces a T-branded phone within its flagship X family, which isn’t a direct successor but something meant to sit in between.
On the hardware side, the tipster claims the Vivo X200T will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chipset and will feature a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. That’s a premium feature which you mainly see on phones within the top tier. He also says the phone will support 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, along with five Android OS updates and seven years of security patches, which is a big plus for buyers planning to hold on to their phones for a long time. It’s the same promise that Vivo has made with its current flagship X300 phones, which launched in India early this month.

Cameras look like a key focus too. As per the leak, the X200T will feature a triple rear camera setup with three 50MP sensors and could be Zeiss-branded, going by an earlier Smartprix report. The tipster mentions features such as a virtual graphics card, super-resolution and frame interpolation, and a 4.5K nanofluid vapour chamber cooling system. These aren’t flashy features, but they matter if you game, shoot a lot of video, or simply want consistent performance without the phone heating up too quickly.
More insight into where the X200T fits comes from tipster Yogesh Brar via Smartprix, who describes the phone as a “mix of the X200 and the X200 FE.” In practical terms, that likely means a compact, easy-to-handle body like the X200 FE, paired with stronger performance closer to the regular X200. Another report from Techloy also points to a GSMA IMEI listing which carried the model number V2561, hinting at the imminent release of the phone.

Battery life could be another strong point. The X200 FE packed a 6,500mAh silicon-anode battery, and the X200T is said to use a similarly large battery. Combined with 90W fast charging, this could make the phone appealing to users who want a device that comfortably lasts a full day without slow charging times. Display details haven’t leaked yet, but the X200 FE’s 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate gives a fair idea that we can get a sharp, bright screen in a relatively compact form.
Vivo hasn’t confirmed the phone yet. Based on what we know so far, the Vivo X200T looks aimed at people who want a smaller phone that doesn’t feel like a compromise: strong cameras, fast charging, long software support, and solid performance in a size that’s easier to live with day to day. If Vivo prices it well, the X200T could be one to watch early next year.
