Vivo X300 FE tipped to launch in new blue colour, RAM and storage variants revealed
As Vivo prepares to launch the V70 series in India on February 19th, another smartphone might debut soon after. This is from the flagship X300 lineup, which might add another compact option. The Vivo X300 FE is tipped to debut soon as a compact flagship, succeeding last year’s X200 FE. This handset will also be the most accessible model in the X300 family. The device has already cleared multiple certifications and appeared on Geekbench, signalling that an announcement could be close. Now, a fresh leak has revealed its RAM, storage variants, and colour options, adding more weight to the speculation.
According to the leak, the Vivo X300 FE will arrive in two configurations: 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. It looks like Vivo may not be adding a 16GB variant this time, as the X200 FE launched in 12GB+512GB and 16GB+512GB configurations.
The device is said to launch in blue and black variants. This is slightly confusing as the Vivo S50 Pro Mini doesn’t have a blue variant. The X300 FE is speculated to launch as a rebrand of this phone. In China, the S50 Pro Mini is available in purple, black, and white. So, it’s not clear if Vivo will introduce a new colour option for the X300 FE globally.

Design-wise, the X300 FE will look quite different from its predecessor if it borrows from the S50 Pro Mini, which debuted last December. That device introduced a distinctive horizontal camera pill layout on the back, a shift away from the vertical camera island. If the X300 FE retains that horizontal camera island, it would give the phone a cleaner, more minimal aesthetic, and also a similar look to the iPhone Air. Combined with a compact 6.31-inch form factor, this could appeal to buyers who prefer smaller phones with a stylish design.
In terms of specs, the X300 FE could feature a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is expected to pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and Android 16. If accurate, that would put it squarely in flagship territory in terms of raw performance, despite its smaller footprint.
The camera setup is tipped to include a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 50MP front camera is also expected. Battery capacity could stay the same at 6,500mAh, supported by 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Although no increase in battery size, the Vivo X300 FE would still be offering a better than expected battery life from a compact phone.
The X300 FE appears to continue the growing industry trend of compact phones with brands offering high-end specifications in more manageable form factors. While most Android brands continue to prioritise larger screens, there is a steady niche demand for compact yet powerful devices. If the X300 FE is indeed a rebranded Vivo S50 Pro Mini, it would follow Vivo’s familiar strategy of adapting China-first models for international markets under different naming conventions.
With an India debut expected, the Vivo X300 FE can be a good choice for people who prefer a smaller phone but don’t want to compromise on performance, cameras or battery life. The combination of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, periscope telephoto lens and large battery in a 6.31-inch body is a flagship-level package in a small form factor.
However, buyers who prioritise larger displays for gaming or media consumption may still gravitate toward bigger flagships or the upcoming V70 series, depending on pricing.
