[Exclusive] Xiaomi 11T series renders reveal updated camera module, colour options

Xiaomi 11T series launch is expected on September 15th, at a global event that the Chinese brand is hosting. Now, ahead of the unveiling, noted industry insider Ishan Agarwal has shared with us the Xiaomi 11T series renders that appeared on the website of a European retailer that clearly jumped the gun. These renders belong to the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro and show that the two phones will look exactly the same and will come in the same colour options. From the renders, we can see that the design of the camera module is slightly updated from the Mi 11 and Mi 11X handsets. Along with this, we spotted the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G in a white colour option on the site.

Xiaomi 11T, 11T design leaked via renders

The Xiaomi 11T and 11T renders show the upcoming smartphones will be closer in design to the Mi 11X series than to the Mi 11 models. This reflects in the centre-placement of the punch-hole display as well as the camera module design. The square-ish module has two big sensors and a smaller one, with a LED flash and 108MP AI Camera branding; interestingly, both the phones are shown to have 108MP sensors. On the back, you can also see the Xiaomi 5G branding towards the bottom-left. The volume button and the power key are on the right spine.

As for the colours, a listing by a UK retailer last week showed the phone will come in Meteorite Gray, Celestial Blue, and Moonlight White colours. The same hues can be seen in the image above.

The leak from last week also claimed the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro models will come in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage options. The former is said to have an AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek processor, and a triple rear camera setup on the back. On the other hand, the latter will reportedly have 120Hz OLED panel, Snapdragon 888 SoC, 5,000mAh battery, and 120W charging.

Interestingly, the tipster who leaked Xiaomi 11T Pro specifications mentioned above also revealed the design earlier today. However, instead of being official renders, these are mock-ups based on a real-life unit the person has seen. The renders are mostly accurate except that the accents on the camera module in the mock-ups are way too prominent compared to those in the official renders we have published.

Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G White colour option

The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G – originally launched as Mi 11 Lite 5G – is already available in Vinyl Black, Tuscany Coral, and Jazz Blue colours. At the September 15th event, the smartphone may also get a new White colourway, going by the render Agarwal came across. The design of the smartphone seems to be unchanged overall but the back panel does seem to have some sort of texture. We’ll find out more about this new colour option in the days to come, so hang tight.
