Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, OPPO Reno 17 new certification suggests imminent global launch

Highlights

Two new smartphones have received Thailand’s NBTC certification, suggesting a global launch is close. The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, which launched in China last month, and the OPPO Reno 17, which is an upcoming phone expected to debut in November. Both phones are also expected to arrive in India, although it’s speculated that Xiaomi might bring only the 18 Pro and 18T here, and not the Pro Max model.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, OPPO Reno 17 NBTC certification

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max with the model number 2611FPNFAG has been spotted on Thailand’s NBTC database, confirming its launch in the country. The listing clearly mentions the name of the phone, so there’s no guessing game here. Same for the OPPO Reno17 5G; the smartphone has been certified with the model number CPH2975. The certification doesn’t reveal any specs of the phone other than confirming its imminent launch.

The Reno 17 is tipped to launch in India as well, alongside the Reno 17c. It’s speculated that the Reno 17 Pro might not launch here, which wouldn’t be entirely surprising, as the Reno 16 Pro didn’t debut here either. The Reno 17 is tipped to launch in India with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, which is the same chipset as its predecessor, the Reno 16.
