ZOTAC Technology has launched the GeForce RTX 5080 SOLID CORE OC 20th Anniversary Edition. It is a limited-quantity special variant of its existing SOLID CORE OC graphics card, released to mark the brand’s 20th year. Brand syas the card is identical in performance to the standard SOLID CORE OC but introduces an exclusive titanium colourway. It features a mirror-finish magnetic backplate and a bundled ZOTAC GAMING DUO ARGB GPU Support Stand.
What makes the Anniversary Edition distinct
The titanium colour finish is the most visible change. It replaces the standard black aesthetic with a finish inspired by the material’s durability and resistance to wear. The magnetic backplate features a mirror-like surface and attaches without tools. The bundled DUO ARGB GPU Support Stand includes adjustable height, a rubberised foot, and a detachable second support arm. Plus a full-length ARGB lighting strip, which is also an award-winning accessory that ZOTAC is including in the box rather than selling separately.
The underlying hardware
The SOLID CORE OC is built on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture. ZOTAC mentions it carries all the capabilities of the RTX 50 Series DLSS 4.5, NVIDIA Studio acceleration, and NIM microservices support for AI workflows. Meanwhile, the Cooling is handled by IceStorm 3.0, ZOTAC’s most capable GPU cooling system to date. It features:
- Vapour chamber up to 34% larger than the previous generation
- Six copper composite heat pipes
- BladeLink fans with interconnected blades for stronger and quieter airflow
- A full-length aluminium heatsink
The 12V-2×6 connector implementation includes a Safety Light that supposedly prevents the GPU from powering on if the cable is not fully seated. Additionally, there are 5-micron gold-plated connection pins that supposedly improve corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity. It’s a meaningful safety addition given the connector’s history with high-TDP cards. SPECTRA RGB lighting handles the visual customisation layer.
The RTX 5080 SOLID CORE OC Anniversary Edition is a limited-quantity release, so availability will vary by region and is unlikely to persist long at retail. For buyers already considering a SOLID CORE OC, the Anniversary Edition adds genuine value through the bundled stand and magnetic backplate at no additional cost over the standard model, assuming pricing remains equivalent, which has not been confirmed for all markets. For buyers drawn primarily by the titanium aesthetic, it is a collector-grade variant of an already well-regarded card. Local availability in India is subject to regional supply and delivery timelines.
The RTX 5080 sits in a competitive tier occupied by similarly specced cards from ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte. ASUS’s ROG STRIX RTX 5080 and MSI’s Gaming Trio RTX 5080 are the most direct rivals. Both offer comparable cooling performance and factory overclocks at similar price points. Meanwhile, Gigabyte’s AORUS Master RTX 5080 adds its own premium cooling and RGB implementation to the mix.
Where the ZOTAC SOLID CORE OC differentiates is through its minimalist design philosophy and the Anniversary Edition’s bundled accessories. The magnetic backplate and DUO ARGB stand add tangible value that most competing cards do not include in the box.
