The Lenovo Ideapad 100-15IBY (80MJ00A9IN) laptop packs in great battery backup and CD/DVD writer, allowing the user to maintain a backup of important data files. The sound output of speaker is good but the webcam fails to capture nice videos due to the presence of low resolution. However, heavy multitasking shall be an issue as the processor is an average one.

The Lenovo Ideapad 100-15IBY (80MJ00A9IN) laptop flaunts a 15.6-inch HD WLED backlit TN glare flat eDP display and features a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. Under the hood, there is a 2.1GHz Intel Celeron dual-core N2840 processor assisted by 4GB of DDR3 RAM and integrated Intel HD graphics engine. For better multitasking, the user can increase the RAM upto 8GB. The laptop boots on DOS operating system and measures 384 x 265 x 25mm.

Camera and Battery

For video calling and recording purposes, the device is armed with a webcam above the bezel and features inbuilt microphone. Touchpad with multi-touch gestures support, chiclet keyboard and 16x CD/DVD writer are the input devices which perform well. Acting as a stamina provider, is a 3 cell li-ion battery which claims to keep the show running upto 4.5 hours.

Storage, Sound and Connectivity

There is a 500GB SATA HDD present inside the system, where one can save large number of different files. The Dolby sound technology outputs pleasant sound from the speakers. On the connectivity ground, the device offers a wide range of options such as Ethernet 10/100 BASE-T, Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, one USB 2.0 slot, two USB 3.0 slots, an HDMI out, a digital media reader, a headphone jack, a microphone jack and 2-in-1 card reader (SD, MMC).
