The Lenovo Ideapad B490 (59-349872) is a cool budget friendly laptop that is laden with a host of powerful features. The most striking one is the Intel Core i3 processor that makes computing easier. It has for a nice outfit, an optical drive and fours USB ports out of which there are 2 USB 3.0 slots. You will have to bear with the poor RAM though.

Display and Design

The Lenovo Ideapad B490 (59-349872) arrives with a 14.1-inch HD LED backlit display which makes texts appear sharper with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It is wrapped in a completely black colored outfit which has a matte finish that may not grab eye balls but doesn't call for much attention. With a weight of 2.2kg, you won't have much problem carrying it around as well.

Processor and OS

Under the hood, this laptop is packed with a 2nd generation Intel Core i3 processor racing at 2.2GHz and working in combination with a mere 2GB DDR3 RAM. It also has 2 unused memory slots which can be used for expanding the RAM's capacity. The integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics manages rich games and movies. It lacks any preloaded OS which is nothing unusual considering its price.
