Display and Configuration
The Lenovo essential G50-80 (80L000HMIN) laptop has a 15.6-inch HD WLED backlit glare flat eDP display and looks nice in black coloured body. It has a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, measures 384 x 264 x 24.8mm and weighs 2.5Kg. Inside the system, there is a 1.9GHz Intel core i3-4030U processor assisted by 4GB of DDR3 RAM which is expandable upto 16GB. A 2GB ATI JET LE R5 M230 graphics engine is also there to render clear picture quality. The laptop boots on Windows 8.1 operating system sailing upon 64-bit architecture.
Camera and Connectivity
There is a 0.3MP webcam stacked and the laptop also features inbuilt microphone for video calling/ recording purposes. In terms of networking, the Lenovo essential G50-80 (80L000HMIN) offers options namely - Ethernet 10/100 BASE-T, Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, two USB 2.0 slots, one USB 3.0 slot, an HDMI out, a digital media reader, a headphone jack and a microphone jack.
Input Devices, Storage and Battery
In order to input data in the system, there are two common devices - a touchpad with multi-touch gesture support and a chiclet keyboard. An 8x SuperMulti DVD Tray-in Drive is also available for the user, letting him/ her to maintain backup copies. On the storage ground, the laptop houses a 1TB SATA hard disk which has a speed of 5,400RPM. The user can get entertained around 4 hours without worrying about battery drainage, thanks to the 4 cell li-ion battery.
