Display and Design

The Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon (20A8A0GJIG) Ultrabook shows off a fantastic 14-inch Anti Glare LED backlit IPS display which offers brilliant off axis viewing angles and prevents visuals from getting hampered even under the sun. With WQHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), the panel is bound to keep you engaged in stunningly vibrant colours and pristine images.

It is wrapped in a partly rubberized matte casing which is solid as well as slim. It has a thickness of just 13.2mm and tips the scale at 1.2kg. Thus, you'll hardly feel like dumping this device when you are on the move. The so called adaptive keyboard has a fingerprint sensor in the middle of nicely designed conical keys while the non-glossy hard glass touchpad makes pointing super smooth. It doesn't have the actual physical buttons though. Above the keyboard, you can find a touchbar replacing the function keys. The touchbar can be used in different modes namely web conference, browser, standard, horizontal and function modes, which can be changed to suit your requirements.

Processor and OS

The laptop has a 2.6GHz Intel Core i5 4th generation processor as its brains. It is assisted by a standard 4GB DDR3 RAM expandable up to 8GB through two unused DIMM ports. It boots 64 bit Windows 8 OS.

Camera, Storage and Multimedia

The 1.3MP webcam can shoot HD videos and guarantee mesmerizing video calling experience in combination with dual array digital microphones. It also supports gesture control which means it acts as an eye to sense what you want it to do by moving hands. The Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon (20A8A0GJIG) Ultrabook has 256GB SSD memory which results in super fast response. It houses stereo speakers powered by Dolby Home Theatre v4.

Battery and Connectivity

Powered by a 6 cell Li-ion battery, the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon (20A8A0GJIG) Ultrabook promises up to 9 hours of backup. On the connectivity front we have one Link Dock, two USB 3.0 ports, one Mini Display Port, HDMI out, digital media reader, Ethernet port, WLAN and Bluetooth v4.0.
