Display and Build
The Lenovo ThinkPad X240 (20AM-A0JXIG) Ultraboook features a 12.5-inch HD LED backlit display which looks quite sharp and rich with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The anti glare coating on the top prevents mirror like reflections thereby providing clear viewing under bright light.
It is encased in a black coloured outfit which has a thickness of 20.3mm and a weight of just 1.3kg so that you can easily tote around with it. The ThinkPad Precision backlit keyboard features a trackpoint nub and allows you to type comfortably in the dark.
Configuration and OS
The Lenovo ThinkPad X240 (20AM-A0JXIG) Ultraboook is driven by a 1.6GHz Intel Core i5 processor from the fourth generation. To handle multitasking, there is a standard 4GB DDR3 RAM which is expandable up to 8GB through two DIMM slots. The integrated Intel HD 4400 GPU handles intensive games and movies. It ships with 64 bit Windows 8 Professional OS.
Camera and Storage
The laptop has been spotted with a webcam embedded in the bezel above the display. It accounts for the storage requirements of the user with a 500GB Serial-ATA hard disk.
Battery and Connectivity
The Lenovo ThinkPad X240 (20AM-A0JXIG) Ultraboook claims to render up to 6 hours of uninterrupted service with a 3 cell Li-ion battery. From the connectivity point of view, the laptop supports Gigabit Ethernet, WLAN, digital media reader, HDMI out, Bluetooth v4.0, two USB 3.0 slots, VGA port and two USB 2.0 ports.
