The LG G7+ ThinQ is an excellent flagship which has been priced competitively
Aug 10 2018 By Prateek PandeyPriced at Rs 39,990, the LG G7+ ThinQ is an absolute steal. Not only does it undercut the current crop of Samsung and Apple flagships, but it does so without compromising on any features whatsoever. Now, if you compare the smartphone to the fan-favourite OnePlus 6, then you should know that the G7+ ThinQ ships with a far superior display, outputs much better audio from both the speaker as well as the 3.5mm headphone jack, has a more rugged design thanks to its IP 68 and MIL-STD 810G certification and is a lot more convenient to use with just one hand. Moreover, the smartphone offers exactly the same performance whilst gaming and even gives you the option to expand the storage by popping in a microSD card.Unfortunately, the handset`s selfie camera and battery life pales in comparison to OnePlus` offering, and I found the pictures from the OnePlus 6`s rear camera to be slightly better too. Choosing between the two smartphones is no easy feat, but rest assured, you won`t be disappointed with your purchase if you side with any one of the two devices. In conclusion, I feel that LG is headed in the right direction and with the introduction of the G7+ ThinQ, the company has made the affordable flagship segment a lot more exciting.

First of all, stop comparing this phone with the "flagship killer" OnePlus 6. This is the kind of flagship it intends to kill. But the LG G7 kills it and buries it to the ground in all aspects. My brother has the OP6 and I have compared these side by side. People are comparing these two phones because they have a similar cost. But that's something LG has got bang on this time in India. Internationally the G7 was pitted against the flagships like S9, Pixel2, P20 pro and beats them in a lot of areas (watch top tech YouTubers' videos). Starting from build and design to features this is a true flagship in every department. Now about the cons people are talking about. Battery - in any Android device it takes a few charging cycles for the battery to settle down. Yes it's not extraordinary but it's as normal as it is on most high end phones these days. No issues there. UI - It's not something too bad to get used too. Coming from the OnePlus 3t I am overwhelmed with the options available here. Throw in a Nova or Lean launcher and you're good. The settings menu offers a lot of customization options something you wouldn't find on stock. Sound profiles, themes, fonts, customisable always on display, there are just so many. Isn't this what Android is all about? And it doesn't have any bloatware like the Chinese products. So if you haven't been fooled by OnePlus's marketing gimmicks and want to invest in a true flagship phone available at an excellent value for money this is what you would want.
