I have always been following this phone from past 2 months and have seen over 60 videos and articles. My intention to buy the phone was for 2 reasons. Premium looks and features. The phone has great daylight camera but struggles a bit with low lights. Music is something outstanding and the earphone that was provided with the phone is also better than apples. I have tested myself with both and really satisfied with music quality. The biggest disappointment I had was not having Mirrorlink feature. The phone only has mirror-sharing for TVs and you can's use Indian versions of phones in Mirrorlink enabled cars. Such a premium phone and LG missed such a basic feature! The same feature is available in US versions of G7. I have written LG with regards to this and waiting for the response. The key concerns reviewers have are baseless and they have done this without properly testing the mobile for long. 1.The phone has got everything that you are looking from a premium phone. Display is something amazing and very much similar to Oled. Don't have regrets that you don't have oled screen. 2. LG has got lot of customizations to the UI and I don't hate it like a lot of reviewers. Instead make use of those customizations. 3. With over 100 apps running currently on my phone, battery is lasting over 15 hours of normal usage which is great compared to the size with always on display turned on. Customization to display is available where you can keep the resolution to Low mode and screen timeout to 15 seconds to boost the battery. This won't hamper the clarity much. Making screen color to Eco will also help you increase battery. I have tested all this and it works boosting battery. 4. I have been using iphones over 5 years and I am very much happy that LG 7 beats iphone 7 and 8 in every aspect including battery. 5. Out of 4 GB ram, the phone has occupied almost 3Gb of ram as I have over 100 apps and I haven't seen any lag so far. Freed up 1Gb ram is enough to run this device for another 2 years :) 6. I am happy with Oreo for now and let me explore until I get Pie update hopefully by end of the year. 7. 4K video recording at 60fps is now available in all the models via an update. 8. Finally, press the Assistant Button and say, "take a selfie", the camera app opens automatically and takes selfie :) I am disappointed for: 1. LG not having mirrorlink feature for Indian G7s. (@LG, please listen to me carefully and give us this update) 2. Low light camera capabilities (hope this will be resolved with an update) 3. Hybrid sim instead of dedicated 2 sim cards and a memory card. Overall, G7 is underrated, great device and a must buy if you are looking for a phone between 25K-30K. I don't consider Asus, Oneplus as competitors to LG. I am sure no one will regret buying this phone at this price unless it's a manufacturing defect. Happy Festival Shopping! Finally to LG, please provide Mirrorlik feature with an update and be a competitor to Samsung! I have reduced one star for this.
I am an apple user before, was in doubt when my husband suggested this phone. But the phone is really good. Go for it guys.
