The Micromax Canvas 1 has a nice pair of cameras and packs in a front flash for night mode action. The performance and the battery backup is good for day-to-day usage. However, the price falls a little on the higher side as the display quality is average.

With the Micromax Canvas 1 comes a 5-inch TFT HD (720 x 1,280 pixels) display. The smartphone runs on Android v7.0 (Nougat) operating system and is available in two variants - matte black and chrome black. The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad core Cortex A53 processor aided by 2GB of RAM placed upon MediaTek MT6737 chipset. The Mali-T720 MP2 GPU outputs good quality visualisation.

Like other smartphones, the Micromax Canvas 1 also features cameras on both ends, There is an 8MP (2.2f aperture) back camera and a 5MP selfie shooter present. For night mode selfie images, videography and video calling, the smartphone is armed with a front LED flash. Acting as an energy driver is a 2,500mAh Li-ion battery which claims to deliver a talk time up to 7 hours and can cope up to 180 hours on standby mode.
Connectivity and Storage
On the connectivity ground, the Micromax Canvas 1 features Dual SIM slot, 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB port. In terms of storage, the smartphone houses an internal memory of 16GB which can be increased up to 32GB using a microSD card.
