The Funbook tablets are known for being affordable yet high on specs, and the P255 is no exception. Coming with nice features like a decent display, dual cameras, good connectivity and a great battery, the Funbook P255 is surely another well-deserved feather in Micromax's cap. However, Micromax could have perfected this achievement by providing at least 8GB of internal memory. That said, this device can still be considered as ideal for anyone seeking a budget tablet with great specs.
Design and Configuration
The latest tablet in the Funbook series sports a 7 inches WVGA (480 x 800 pixels resolution) display, with 16M colour depth for a breathtaking visual experience. The device runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. A 1200MHz Cortex-A8 processor is paired with 512MB of RAM to ensure decent performance even under moderate stress. For gamers, Micromax has provided this tablet with the Mali-400 GPU.
Camera and Storage
Rear cameras are not common in budget tablets, but Micromax has provided the P255 with a 2MP rear camera, in addition to the 0.3MP front camera. This ensures that both video chatting as well as decent photography can be carried out with this device. Internal storage is 4GB (1.15GB free storage), and can be expanded using microSD card up to a limit of 32GB.
