Display and Configuration

The Microsoft Surface Book (SW5-00001) laptop flaunts a 13.5-inch IPS LED touch screen backlit display which features a screen resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels. It boots on Windows 10 Professional operating system floating upon 64-bit architecture. The laptop is driven by a 2.6GHz processor which outputs superb performance. The processor is aided by an 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM and an integrated Nvidia Geforce graphics card.

Body Looks and Input Devices

The laptop is available in a silver coloured body with good looks. It measures 312 x 231 x 22.8mm and weighs only 1.57Kg. A touchpad with multi-touch gesture support and a standard detachable keyboard are the two common devices present in the Microsoft Surface Book (SW5-00001). They perform well and are quick to respond.

Battery and Connectivity

Acting as an energy provider is a Li-ion battery which claims to deliver a backup for around 12 hours. On the networking front, the Microsoft Surface Book (SW5-00001) features a lot of options such as Wireless LAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.0, two USB 3.0 slots, an SD card reader, a headphone jack and a microphone jack.
