Display and Configuration

The Microsoft Surface Book (TP4-00001) laptop flaunts a 13.5-inch IPS LED touch screen backlit display which features a screen resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels. It boots on Windows 10 Professional operating system floating upon 64-bit architecture. The laptop is driven by a 2.4GHz processor which outputs superb performance. The processor is aided by an 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM and an integrated Intel HD 520 graphics card.

Body Looks and Input Devices

The laptop is available in a silver coloured body with nice looks. It measures 312.42 x 231.14 x 22.8mm and weighs only 1.37Kg, easy to carry around. A touchpad with multi-touch gesture support and a standard detachable keyboard are the two common devices present in the Microsoft Surface Book (TP4-00001). The input devices perform well and are quick to respond.

Battery and Connectivity

Acting as an energy driver is a Li-ion battery which claims to deliver a backup for around 12 hours. On the networking front, the  Microsoft Surface Book (TP4-00001) features a lot of options such as Wireless LAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.0, two USB 3.0 slots, an SD card reader, a headphone jack and a microphone jack.

Camera and Storage

For image clicking, video calling and recording needs, the laptop is armed with a webcam on both ends - front and back. The 8MP rear camera captures nice quality images/videos and supports Full HD 1080p video recording. The 5MP front facing webcam with 720p HD recording support also captures nice quality images and videos. As far as the storage is concerned, the Microsoft Surface Book (TP4-00001) has a 256GB solid which performs the task at a fast pace.
