I bought this TV more than a month back and it really is a value for money purchase. So I am now going to write a pretty detailed review:nn1. Buying ExperiencenI placed the order at around 10:30PM and voila flipkart was standing on my door at 11:00 AM next day! Amazing delivery speed. Add to it since flipkart also raised an installation request , I also received a call from Philips customer care for installation as well ! nI must say that this is even faster than many offline stores if you ask them to deliver the product to your home. Good job here Flipkart! nAlso, since flipkart was running a EMI interest refund offer, I bought it on EMI , but unfortunately flipkart hasn't credited the same yet. :(nn2. Picture QualitynThe picture quality is perfect especially if you play HD content from your HD set top box or USB drive and is very close to LG/Samsung/Sony and so it the color reproduction. I personally find colors on Samsung to be oversaturated and prefer the colors of this TV.nn3. Sound QualitynYes, it is true, the sound is definitely not upto the mark and is at best a compromise that you live with for spending much lesser than you would for the more popular brands. Sound becomes a much bigger problem when you play movies from your USB drive as many of the HD content these days has 5 channel audio while this TV has just two teeny tiny stereo speakers. And I talking about a small bedroom here, so those people who install it in their living rooms will definitely need a good home theatre set to enjoy this TV.nConspicuously, there is no headphone out jack in the TV to which I would have tried connecting my 2.1 Altec lancing speaker set. This is a pretty standard feature and it feels strange that it is missing in this TV. I even downloaded the product manual from Philips website, but even there they don’t have mention of any audio out. However there are 3 ports on the of this TV which say video out , left audio out and right audio out. I haven’t tried connecting these to speaker yet as it will need a component to stereo cable, but will post an update on success/failure.nn4. Other Features/IssuesnThe TV has 2 HDMI and 1 USB port which seems to have become standard these days but in my opinion is pathetically low. It basically means that I can’t have my PS3 , set top box and Chromecast connected to my TV all the time and switch between them using my remote. Also, access to the ports is very difficult once you wall mount the TV.nThe TV is very slim and has a small bezel and looks very good when mounted on the wall. The USB support is good and it recognizes my 1TB HDD without any issues and plays off nearly all movie formats that I throw at it.Menu options are sufficient and OSD is easy to use. The remote is small and pretty lightweight.nnHope this review helps you making you decision!
initially after viewing reiews about sound quality of this product, i thought not to buy.nBut came to know that sound quality in any LED is not that great but we have to use external sound system. so purchased it @ flipkart deal of the day offer for 30k. completely satisfied with display quality, also tested with F&D 5.1 sound system. As LCD has only 16W sound output, 5.1 system can't help much to enjoy movie experience, however as I'm using TATA SKY HD+, connected 5.1 sound system to tata sky and the experince was superb in combination to HD display of philips. Totally satisfied with this product and as usual the service from flipkart. Though picture & sound settings on LED are limited, existing options are decent enough. without 5.1 sound system, exsiting sound on LED is good enough to cater normal sound requirements. Planning to buy philips home theatre @ 10k to completely enjoy HD movie experience at home. Lastly, when I purchased this product on FK, 37k was actual price but it dipped to 32k soon after the deal of the day offer expired.
