The OPPO Find X9 Pro is currently one of the most expensive flagships in India, priced at Rs Rs 1,09,999. It boasts a massive 200MP periscope lens capable of up to 6x optical-quality zoom, MediaTek’s fastest Dimensity 9500 chipset, and a 7,500mAh battery, one of the largest on a flagship. The Find X9 Pro also has a camera kit that adds 9.6x optical zoom and 200x digital zoom. The smartphone stands out for its camera prowess and overall performance as well. But there are a couple of areas where it falls short. So, to make your buying decision easier, here’s a TLDR version of the OPPO Find X9 Pro review, with reasons to buy or skip it.

Reasons to buy the OPPO Find X9 Pro
Sharp, vibrant display
The OPPO Find X9 Pro features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with adaptive 1Hz – 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive 3,600 nits of peak brightness. The display delivers crisp, vibrant visuals whether you’re reading or watching movies and indoors or in bright sunlight. HDR content stands out with strong contrast, deep blacks, and detailed shadows. It also features a fast and accurate ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner positioned right where your thumb naturally rests, similar to what we see on Samsung’s Galaxy S lineup and Pixel phones. And if the already stunning default profile isn’t enough, you can fine-tune the colour settings to your liking.

Strong all-around camera system
The OPPO Find X9 Pro packs a strong triple-camera setup with a 50MP Sony LYT-828 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 periscope telephoto. Photos come out sharp with good dynamic range, accurate focus, and lively colours, though shadows can occasionally appear a bit crushed. Features like the XPan mode add creative versatility to the shooting experience. Up front, the 50MP selfie camera delivers decent results but tends to soften details, especially in dim lighting.

Powerful performance and stable thermals
The OPPO Find X9 Pro runs on the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500, backed by 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. Its AnTuTu and Geekbench scores outperform Apple’s A19 Pro, and in Performance Mode, it matches the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered OnePlus 15. A large 36,344.4mm² vapour chamber keeps the phone cool, maintaining steady performance during demanding tasks. Whether it’s heavy multitasking, 4K recording, or high-end gaming like Genshin Impact, BGMI, Wuthering Waves, or Honkai: Star Rail, the Find X9 Pro handles everything smoothly, even without being a gaming-centric device.

Outstanding battery life
The OPPO Find X9 Pro houses a huge 7,500mAh battery, the biggest ever on a flagship. It easily lasts two days with light use, and even power users can get a full day without worry. During travel in Barcelona with navigation, photography, social apps, and constant messaging, we averaged around 6.5 hours of screen time. In gaming tests, battery drain was minimal with only about 4 percent after 30 minutes of demanding titles like BGMI, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Real Racing 3. The endurance is excellent. With 80W SuperVOOC fast charging (same as the Find X8 Pro), the phone goes from 20 percent to 100 percent in roughly 73 minutes, which is decent.
Reasons to skip the OPPO Find X9 Pro
Quick button needs customisation
The Quick Button sits low on the right side of the phone and works like the iPhone’s Camera Button, but only for the camera. It can’t be customised to launch other apps or tools, making it useful mainly in landscape mode and awkward in portrait use. You can disable it, but if OPPO plans to keep this feature, it could add broader functionality to feel worthwhile, like Apple did.
Occasional focus issues with cameras
While the OPPO Find X9 Pro’s cameras are great, we did notice some slow processing and occasional focus issues. OPPO hasn’t addressed this yet, but a software update should easily fix it. Until then, missed focus can be frustrating, especially when you only notice after taking the shot.
In conclusion, the OPPO Find X9 Pro has several reasons for you to consider it. The smartphone delivers on cameras, performance, and thermal management, making it a strong choice for power users. Yes, it does have a premium price tag, but if that’s not a concern, then you won’t regret buying the Find X9 Pro.
