Display and design
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display that renders better colours, deep contrast, and a great outdoor visibility. The display flaunts a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels (WQXGA), which results into a pixel density of 288ppi. It offers an aspect ratio of 16:10, and is equipped with Samsung’s proprietary Adaptive display technology which automatically adjusts the sharpness, brightness etc to deliver a great experience while using different functions like eBook reader, Browser, Video etc. The tablet can be used in three display modes - Cinema mode, Photo mode and Basic mode. The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is encased in a 6.6mm slim body, weighs 465 grams and is available in white and bronze colours.
UI and configuration
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 runs Android v4.4 KitKat version with TouchWiz layer on top. The UI is optimised by a range Samsung exclusive features and apps like Multi Window, Private Mode, Kids mode, Magazine UX home screen, Sidesync 3.0 etc. Under the hood ticks a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos SoC with Mali-T628 MP6 GPU and a generous 3GB RAM.
Camera and storage
For imagery, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 boasts an 8-megapixel auto focus primary camera and a 2.1MP front snapper. Both the cameras are loaded with customised features to deliver and excellent photography experience. For storage, it offers 16GB of inbuilt memory along with the ability to add more up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
Connectivity and battery
Connectivity features in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 include Wi-Fi 802.11, a/ac/b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Bluetooth v4.0, Infrared, GPS, microUSB etc. The tablet is fuelled by a 7,900mAh battery.
