Verdict
The Tecno POVA Curve 2 has some good things going for it. Its battery life is naturally quite exceptional and can easily last around 2 days for most users. It comes with a great display for multimedia usage, and the overall aesthetics of this device are pretty unique. The new HiOS is smooth and quite feature-rich. Its performance, however, sits a little lower than the segment average, the cameras could be better, and the mono speaker outputs flat audio.

I've always loved Tecno's design philosophy, and the POVA series continues to substantiate that with every new release. The POVA Curve 2 has an incredible build for a phone packing such a large battery. Its curved panels and corners make it extremely comfortable to hold, and at 195 grams, the balance is spot on, adding to the overall comfort.

The key highlight of this device is its massive 8,000mAh cell, and it does live up to its potential. The phone easily lasts 2 days for me with an average SOT of 4 hours a day. Granted, the battery falls to the low 10s by the end of the second day, but still, that is a pretty impressive performance.

Browsing, social media, and light multitasking all run fine, but push the phone a little harder, and the cracks start to show. There are some micro-stutters in day-to-day use, and the phone can feel a little sluggish overall, which is hard to ignore at this price point.
