Overall: 2Gb ram is a little bit on the lower side, but at this price this laptop is really good.Finish is glossy and hence there is a problem with finger print smudges on the cover.Comes with No OS installed. Runs great with Linux. For windows you ...

Verdict
The Toshiba Satellite C50-A I001A is an excellent low budget laptop that is good for executing simple business computing needs with the Intel Core i3 CPU. The absence of user friendly OS and lack of a good RAM are nothing unusual in this price range. However, the presence of a USB 3.0 slot, a 1MP webcam and SuperMulti DVD drive are surprising.

The Toshiba Satellite C50-A I001A arrives with a glossy 15.6-inch HD LED backlit Clear SuperView display which offers comfortable viewing with a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It comes wrapped in an all black outfit with the lid having a soft matte finish. It has a thickness of 33.3mm and a weight of 2.3 kg.
 
CPU and OS
 
At the heart of the notebook you have a 2.4GHz Intel Core i3 processor from the second generation and sitting on HM76 Express chipset. It is aided by a mere 2GB DDR3 RAM operating at 1600MHz which is acceptable in this price. It can also be expanded up to 16GB via 2 unused slots for better performance. It manages rich graphics with the integrated Intel HD 4000 GPU. It is devoid of any preloaded OS as well.
