The laptop is being used only for basic word processing, and now, after using it for a year, freezes up even while trying to shift between two open windows. Bare minimum programs have been installed, and a robust antivirus is in place, so it doesn't make sense for a laptop to be this slow from the beginning.nn2. Came with a non-working cameranSince I was in the middle of moving out from one city to another, I couldn't avail the 30-day return policy. The Toshiba authorised service representative who came over to replace the camera with a new unit couldn't solve the problem either, and suggested completely dismantling the laptop and checking the motherboard for complaints, which I was against.nnPros:n1. Wonderful Harman Kardon speakersn2. Good screenn3. Four USB ports to cater to all needsn4. Reasonably light-weight for a 15.6 inch screen laptopn5. Full keyboard with Num padn6. Looks goodnnConclusion:nIt works fine as a multimedia device, but if you need to get work done, this is not a dependable machine. It has been too slow and glitchy right from the beginning. In this day and age, speed matters.
