I am using Toshiba laptop which is now out of warranty, and my experience with their service centre in k'mangla b'lore is disappointing. utter waste of time for working professionals, hidden charges and very high rates and if you don't agree they resort to rude behavior. I would suggest you to go for a reputed brand who's core business is that of laptop and do not use franchise owned service centers.nHowever, if you wish to phase out your laptop in 1 - 2 yrs then don't worry and go for it!!
Few big reasons for not buying it, among many of them: 1. the mentioned weight of 1.8kg is NOT TRUE, its actually 2.2kg. 2. its highly likely that you receive a faulty piece with some broken screen or a bad non-booting HDD 3. the battery shape is such that its falling out at the bottom and it looks as if its sitting on a docking station. Basically it is not what it is described as.
