Verdict
The Toshiba Tecra Z50-ASMBN22 Ultrabook is an impressive standard laptop but isn’t really an ultrabook. In addition to robust performance, it impresses with the presence of backlit keyboard, fingerprint scanner and most importantly a massive battery.
Impressive laptop with standard efficiency
Display and Design

The Toshiba Tecra Z50-ASMBN22 Ultrabook features a 15.6-inch HD BrightView LED backlit display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It is wrapped in a cosmo silver coloured outfit which carries a premium feel and has a thickness of 20.4mm with a weight of just 1.8kg. Thanks to the full size spill resistant backlit keyboard that you can type comfortably in the dark. It also carries a fingerprint sensor which further increases the security of the user's identity.

CPU and Platform

Acting as the brains of the notebook is a 1.9GHz Intel Core i3 processor belonging to the fourth generation and based on HM86 Express chipset. It is coupled with a standard 4GB DDR3 RAM which runs at 1,600MHz and is further expandable via two DIMM slots. Rich games and videos are managed by the integrated Intel HD 4400 GPU. It runs on 64 bit Windows 7 Professional OS.

Camera, Storage and Multimedia

The Toshiba Tecra Z50-ASMBN22 Ultrabook carries a webcam and inbuilt microphone and accounts for your storage needs with a 320GB SATA hard disk. Powered by DTS Studio Sound, the stereo speakers deliver powerful multimedia experience.

Battery and Connectivity

The Toshiba Tecra Z50-ASMBN22 Ultrabook is fuelled by a 4 cell Li-ion battery which claims to provide continuous service for up to 8.6 hours. Connectivity options include Gigabit Ethernet, WLAN, digital media reader, Bluetooth v4.0, HDMI out, two USB 3.0 slots, one USB 2.0 slot, RGB port and docking connector.
