The Toshiba Tecra Z40-ASMBN22 Ultrabook is a complete package which can take care of both business and gaming efficiently. It stands out from its competitors in terms of many features including backlit keyboard, marathon battery and light outfit. But the lack of a standard hard disk is disappointing.

Display and Design

The Toshiba Tecra Z40-ASMBN22 Ultrabook sports a 14-inch HD TFT LED backlit display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The stylish cosmo silver coloured outfit measures 20.4mm around the waist and weighs merely 1.4kg enabling you to tote around with it at ease. The presence of a full size spill resistant backlit keyboard enables you to type comfortably irrespective of background conditions. 

CPU and Platform

Under the hood, the Toshiba Tecra Z40-ASMBN22 Ultrabook depends on a 1.9GHz Intel Core i3 fourth generation processor based on HM86 Express chipset and paired with a standard 4GB DDR3 RAM which is further expandable via two DIMM slots. The 1GB integrated Intel HD 4400 GPU can handle moderately demanding games and movies well. It runs on business minded 64 bit Windows 7 Professional OS.

Camera, Storage and Multimedia

The Toshiba Tecra Z40-ASMBN22 Ultrabook is armed a webcam and inbuilt microphone for online video calling purposes. For storage needs, it relies on a 320GB SATA hard disk which may turn out to be insufficient. The stereo speakers running on DTS Studio Sound software deliver crisp and powerful audio quality.

Battery and Connectivity

Fuelled by a 4 cell Li-ion battery, the ultrabook is rated to deliver interruption free service up to 9.16 hours. On the connectivity front, we have Gigabit Ethernet, three USB 3.0 slots, RGB port, docking connector, digital media reader, Bluetooth v4.0, HDMI out and WLAN.
