EvoFox launches Ronin HS65 Hall Effect keyboard at Rs 3,999

EvoFox by Amkette has added to its Ronin Series with the Ronin HS65, a wired mechanical keyboard that costs Rs 3,999. It targets competitive gamers and typing enthusiasts. The HS65 features magnetic Hall Effect switches, 8000Hz hyper polling, and improved software options in a compact 65% layout, all at a price that is much lower than most international alternatives.

What does the Hall Effect mean?

Unlike standard mechanical switches that rely on physical contact to register key presses, Hall Effect keyboards use magnetic sensors to detect key position. This means no contact wear over time, more precise actuation detection, and features like Rapid Trigger and adjustable actuation points that traditional switches can’t provide.

The Ronin HS65 uses EvoFox’s HallSense Precision Magnetic Switches with Rapid Trigger that adjusts with 0.005mm accuracy, one of the finest tolerances available. Rapid Trigger allows keys to reset and reactivate based on actual movement instead of a fixed threshold. In fast-paced games, this can noticeably improve input speed.

Performance and customisation

The 8000Hz hyper polling rate registers inputs every 0.125 milliseconds. This significantly lowers latency compared to the standard 1000Hz found on most gaming keyboards. On the software side, Snap Tap Mode prioritises the most recent directional input when opposing keys are pressed at the same time, which is helpful in games like Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant.

Dynamic Keystroke maps multiple actions to a single key depending on how deeply it is pressed. Mod Tap lets you perform different actions based on whether you tap or hold the key, while Toggle Key switches functions on and off with one press. All settings are stored in onboard memory using web-based software.

The 65% layout includes 66 keys and offers more desk space for mouse movement while keeping the arrow keys. Dual-layer sound absorption, pre-lubed switches, and PBT keycaps complete the build. It also features 18 RGB lighting effects, all-key anti-ghosting, a multifunction volume knob, dual OS support, and a 1.8m braided cable.

The Wooting 60HE remains the global benchmark for Hall Effect keyboards, but costs significantly more than Rs 3,999 in India. Local options from Redragon and Cosmic Byte have also entered the Hall Effect market, but usually lack in polling rate or Rapid Trigger precision. The HS65’s combination of 8000Hz polling, 0.005mm Rapid Trigger accuracy, and extensive software customisation is tough to beat domestically at this price. EvoFox has a strong reputation with the Ronin Series. The X75 and Ronin Wireless both offer great value. The HS65 continues this trend by bringing advanced switch technology at a similar price point.

For competitive gamers looking for Hall Effect keyboards without spending on international models, the Ronin HS65 is one of the most attractive keyboard releases in the Indian market this year.

It’s available now on Amkette.com, Amazon.in, and Flipkart.
