Be Indian, Buy Indian. The TV just works fine like any other imported TV

Hi,nnI owned a Samsung 40 inches 5 series LED TV before this. I bought that TV in Oct. 2011 and around Feb 2104 the TV's panel got black patch. I tried to contact Samsung etc. who then told me that panel is gone and it will cost a whooping 25000 to replace the panel.nnI waited for 3-4 months thinking whether to get plane replaced or get a new TV, but later I decided that I would go for a new TV as it would give me warranty as Samsung was only offering 3 month warranty on the panel replacement, so I decided to go for new TV.nnFortunately after doing survey in market everyone was pushing me towards Samsung or LG but the prices of those TV's were still high. I then went to Croma and they had these Philips brand and Videocon also with Samsung / LG, so after checking a lot I decided that I would go with Philips 40PFL4958 model which had the maximum warranty of 3 years. That TV was being offered for 38500 to me but I decided to check online and got a price quote of Rs. 32500.nnI decided to wait for Diwali and then Flipkart's Billion sale came and I managed to get the same TV for Rs. 27990 but as it happened with everyone else, Flipkart cancelled my order and price of the TV went back to Rs. 35000 on Flipkart. I did'nt knew what to do and then Flipkart emailed me that they will get me same or better TV, but they did'nt and finally they offered me Rs. 9000 as wallet cash as apology (I wonder if any shopkeeper would have done this).nnAnyways, the price of Philips TV was now Rs. 35000 and I had Rs. 9000 in my Flipkart wallet so I was kind of stuck with Flipkart to buy my TV and I then again started looking for something else. I kept on checking and checking and finally I zeroed in on the Videocon 50 inch. LED TV. I went to Croma again and checked the TV, the rep. at Croma boasted the warranty which Videocon also increased to 5 years. He said a company only offers warranty when they have confidence in their product. Thats is, I decided to order the TV from Flipkart.nnThe additional benefits I got by ordering from Flipkart was that they picked my old TV in exchange for Rs. 10000 (For which no shopkeeper was giving more than 5000). They offered extra 5% discount on the price of Rs. 49900. Extended warranty and Cashback of Interest component. So eventually I got this 50 inch LED for almost half the price than mentioned. I don't think this deal could get any better than this.nnThe ordering process was simple, It was very quick of Flipkart to deliver the TV and old TV was also picked at the same time. The Videocon was fully sealed and somehow Flipkart even managed to deliver the TV to me on Sunday (which is great). And on the next day, Videocon's rep was at my door to install the TV and within an hour the TV was mounted and everything was done. Everything was included in box like Table top, Wall mount etc.nnNow about the TV, its huge :). Works better than my old Samsung 40 inch. LED. Somehow the Samsung was slower when I used to flip channels and Videocon is faster. I don't know why but Videocon TV switches between different screen resolutions much quicker than the old Samsung TV. As some people have said in the reviews the sound is low, I don't find it so. It works almost same as my Samsung maybe a 28-30 difference but nothing major.nnThe clarity is good, I don't feel that it is any lower than any of the samsung or LG. I have noticed that when you compare TV's in a shop side by side then some look brighter, some darker, some sharper but when you get the TV at your home and start looking it for a while then you feel that all are same. There is so less difference that eventually you will not even know the difference. Hence I am satisfied with the picture quality of the TV and I don't see much difference in what I used to see in my Samsung or what I see now in the Videocon.nnFinal words: Its an Indian brand and it just works. Offers better warranty at very lower price. What else do you want ? Also you're helping your country when you're buying from an Indian mfg.

Videocon gives worst service you can ever get in this world, they take months..yes months to rectify mistakes.
And, most of LED TVs manufactured are with defects.
Very irresponsible customer care employees, am sure, they dont know how other customer care employees talk.
I have purchased videocon LED TV and as usual, its a defect piece, returned to service center and its there with them since 2 months
If there is a negative star rating in flip kart, i would give -100* to any videocon TV.s
Never ever dare to buy this TV.
