I received this Huawei MediaPad 7 lite tablet today in a good packing (as usual by Flipkart). Have been only few hours of usage and I feel quite satisfied with its overall performance. I expected a little more out of it but I would rather settle down comparing what I paid for it. Pros: 1. Decent screen resolution(1024x600) with IPS screen. 2. Metallic back panel adds quality feel to this product. 3. 3G, Wifi and other connectivity features added which is most needed in tablets these days. 4. 1.2 Ghz processor & 1 GB RAM makes this worth a buy. 5. SAR value under limit 0.443W/kg Cons: 1. No earpiece. Did not expected this. You will have to rely on Bluetooth headset or other wired ones. Speaker too is single and sound output is bit low and squeaky sometimes. 2.Screen resolution compared to Samsung Tab2 is low and not very sharp and clear. 3. Its thicker and heavier compared to Tab2. 4. Low internal memory. 4GB total. Pre loaded applications and softwares amounted to 2 GB and only 2 GB internal left.
I'll leave out technical specs out of this reviewnWell I wasn't really going to spend more than 10k for a tablet which really narrowed my choices down to Micromaxx, Carbon, Penta ,Milagrow, Swipe etc. On actually viewing these products in the showroom I found their displays to be very shoddy except the Samsung Tab2 of course which had a fantastic display but was priced at 19.5-20k.Believe me ,if you use a half decent phone most of the tab displays are going to leave you really dissapointed.nAlso I noticed that the tabs priced at 6 to 7k lagged incessantly even when loaded with a reasonable amount of appsnSo the Mediapad is priced at 13.5 k,believe me it's worth the prices if you look at all the other tabs you've got in market(below 10K). The display is great and the performance is good too, the touch is great and with data usage on the tab lasts for a good 4 to 5 hours which is decent.nWith the Nexus7 priced at 19.5 this remains the tab that gives you value for money and YES it does have an earphone!!!
When the whole world is moving from dual-core to quad-core and cortex a15 platforms,Huawei is still proud of its single core cortex A8 processor.Haha, that too for 12000..This tablet is not even worth 6000..Shame on those who still buy and hike it!!!!
my sincere advise - do not purchase any product of Huawei. Their service is very worst. Want proof call their customer care. They dont solve ur problem. They simple postpone. if there is a chance for rating of their service i will rate them ZERO.
If compare this tablet with Reliance tab, Samsung tab, blackberry tab and any other that at this range then this is a best among all. Using it form last 3 weeks and found good enough to perform. Aluminium unibody is excellent and it resembles to ipad mini, even samsung is giving plastic body in galaxy tab. Rich looks!! Good display resolution. Fair battery but good if compare with galaxy tab and reliance tab, blackberry tab. Good camera (3.2 MP)good if compare with galaxy tab and reliance tab but blackberry is giving 5MP camera. Good sound quality. Good processor(1.2 Ghz) if compare with samsung galaxy tab, Blackberry tab. Reliance is giving 1.4 ghz processor which is not far ahead. Dont have inbuilt earphone, but if we put the sound of speaker phone down enough then can be use it as a earphone. I am using bluetooth or external earphone(came with media pad itself) for telephonic conversation. Good price range. Good Purchase!!! Recommendable!!! Can be use in place of a mobile phone if portability is not any issue.
