Moto G mobiles were delivered with Andriod 4.3 version earlier (Batch IMEI no: 355XXX), upon starting the device it used to get updated to Android 4.2.2. These mobiles were working fine.nnHowever, Flipkart is currently delivering a new batch of Moto G phones starting with IMEI no: 353XXXX, this series comes with Android 4.2.2 version pre-installed, they have software issues and are unable to recognize Indian SIM cards (an error message- Red triangle with plus symbol will be displayed on notification bar) . This batch of mobiles aren't fit to be used in India and a fix is yet to be identified for the same. Motorola Customer care went on record and authenticated this info.nnThis Information was communicated to Flipkart customer care repeatedly and they are least bothered to hold the deliveries for Moto G. I have received the same faulty batch piece twice (one piece through purchase and the other as replacement for the first). After enormous effort and week long fight, flipkart is finally refunding the money.nnI repeat DONOT buy MOTO G at the moment. Motorola is yet to find a fix for the issue. Think again, what good is a mobile that doesn't recognize a SIM card???
Please note that the following review is not about the product but rather about the service offered by Flipkart.I will just narrate my experience with Flipkart and you can form your own opinion after reading this.nnStarts on Tue,5th AugustnnSo, I order a Moto G with all excitement after my old HTC phone dies.I decide to pay via net banking just to avoid all the hassles of COD.But, to my surprise, Flipkart does not receive my payment even after the money gets debited !nnNo problem, I tell myself that the Flipkart Customer Care is there to help me.And sure enough, they manage to resolve the issue within 20 mins.Great !nnThu,7th August.nnIn two days, I receive the product and I open it with all excitement.I start the device, and damn! The touch screen is faulty !nnDisappointed and concerned since I will be going abroad next week and badly need this phone for the trip.However, I tell myself that Flipkart customer care is there to help.nnI place a return request on my account and immediately call up the customer care.nnThe order page tells me that I will be contacted within 24 hours by the technical team.The customer care also confirms the same thing.nnFine, I decide to waitnnFri, 8th August (24 hours later)nnNo contact from Flipkart, whatsoever and I am getting concerned that I will not be getting the phone before I leave.nnI call them up again and explain the situation.The now say that the team will actually need 48 hours to respond (lie no. 1) !! nnAfter much haggling, they assure me that the technical team will call back by 9 PM for sure (lie no.2)nnBut guess what, no call !!nnThen I call them up again in the evening.The lady simply keeps on repeating the phrase " I understand your concern sir".After much convincing, I get my call forwarded to an executive.nnNow this very smart executive tells me that, no call from technical team is needed and that my request for return has already been accepted (lie no. 3).She also tells me that I will be getting a replacement by Monday !nnI am happy, but I ask her why does my order page still say "Return request still under processing".To which she replies that it will show that way till my phone is actually received and that is nothing to worry about (lie no.4)nnSat, 9th August (48 hours later)nnI still have a doubt about "Return request still under processing" , so I decide to call up Flipkart again.Initially the person at the other end tells me that I will get a replacement in 2-3 business days.But I grill her about the "still under processing" status and then she comes up with the following shocker.nnFirst, the technical team will contact me in the next 72 hours and confirm what the problem is all about.And then if they approve, I well get a replacement in another 72 hours after that !!nnSo, first they tell me 24 hours, then 48 hours, then 72 hours and now they are saying 72+72 hours!! And now I get a mail saying the issue will be resolved in next 4 business daysnnI am left speechless.I am ending my rather long review here and let you people decide how much Flipkart values it's customers
I purchased the mobile phone on 27.05.2014 and after inserting sim the signal is not coming please wait until the lot of mobile gets replaced. waiting for return of new phone hope it will work :(
MOTO G, presently One of the best affordable smartphone. Will give stiffer competition to Indian as well other foreign company also. I love it. I ordered 16 GB version as 8 GB wont be sufficient due to non-expandable storage capacity.

Ordered my phone on 6th Feb. got it on 7th via Next day delivery.n5/5 for the rest of the features at this price point.nnOverall am disappointed with Flipkart ..why?nn1. The outer box it came in was torn from one of the sides; outer box was crushed and the original phone's box was intact but a crush mark was visible on the bottom of the box. I asked the delivery boy about its condition as to why..to which the delivery boy said "sir aggar koi problem hogi toh replace ho jayega". I asked him again *puzzled* to which he replied "sir pechay se he aise aya hai..hum toh bus deliver karte hai". nNothing to say here.. :/nn2. notification LED at the time of charging, missed calls doesn't work.nn3. when I open/close the camera app. there is a mechanical click sound which comes out near the camera. Its louder at the time of closing the app.nn4. If the Phone is switched off and I put it on charging then it automatically switches itself on. Also, if while in charging I switch off the phone it acts as if it was restarted.nnAll I can guess is something went wrong at the time of shipment. nWaiting for it to return in stock so that I can put it up for replacement :(nnUpdate: Since then I've been waiting for it to come back in stock after all the false information being provided to customer(s) and now waiting for a refund to order a Moto G again. n@FK If I won't get my order delivered this time with a proper packaging and a "non-defective" item unlike my prev. order then I will never ever purchase anything from Flipkart again.
