The Acer Aspire E5-511 (NX.MPKSI.004) notebook is clearly an odd one out in budget laptop category as it has some amazing features that are even not found in mid-range machines like HD webcam, 7 hour battery and LED backlit display, so its worth buying.

The Acer Aspire E5-511 (NX.MPKSI.004) Laptop (Pentium Dual Core 4th Gen/2 GB/500 GB/Windows 8 1) holds a 15.6-inch high definition ComfyView TFT LCD display screen with LED backlit; the screen resolution is standard 1,366 x 768 pixels. It arrives in iron colored body with Acer Fine Touch Keyboard with Numeric keypad and multi-touch gesture enabled touchpad as input devices. 

 

Processor and OS

 

The Aspire series laptop works on Intel Pentium Dual Core N3540 fourth generation processor which is clocked at a rate of 2.6GHz. The processor is coupled with 2GB RAM which is configurable up to 8GB to give decent laptop performance. It lacks dedicated graphics but provided with Intel HD graphics processor for aiding the basic gaming and visual needs. The laptop computer runs on the latest 64-bit Windows 8.1 operating system.  

 

Camera, Storage and Entertainment

 

The Acer Aspire E5-511 (NX.MPKSI.004) Laptop can store up to 500 gigabyte worth of data in its SATA type hard disk drive (HDD). The Acer Crystal Eye webcam is enabled with 720p HD recording so quality video chatting and capturing photos and videos are made possible. The audio units are two stereo speakers with MS sound & HD Audio solution and built-in microphone. The disk data transfer from HDD to CD roms and DVDs are made possible via its SuperMulti DVD RW drive with dual layer support.
