Display and Configuration
The Acer Aspire ES1-571 (NX.GCESI.006) laptop comes with a 15.6-inch Acer cinecrystal HD LED backlit TFT super-slim LCD display. It has a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels and boots on Linux operating system. For driving the system, there is a 1.7GHz Intel Pentium dual-core 3556U processor assisted by 4GB of DDR3 RAM and integrated Intel HD graphics engine. For better multitasking, the RAM can be increased upto 16GB.
Storage, Camera and Input Devices
In order to store a large number of different files, the laptop houses a 500GB SATA hard disk which performs well. For video calling and recording purposes, there is a webcam above the bezel which captures pretty good videos. Input devices include a touchpad with multi-touch gestures support (two-finger scroll and pinch), an Acer finetip keyboard and an 8x CD/DVD writer.
Connectivity and Battery
In terms of connectivity, the laptop offers a wide range of options such as Ethernet 10/100/1000 BASE-T, Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, two USB 2.0 slots, one USB 3.0 slot, an HDMI out, a digital Media reader, a headphone jack, a microphone jack and a VGA port. The laptop is fuelled by a 3 cell li-ion battery which claims to keep the show running upto five hours.
