The Best Laptop at the lowest cost....Highly recommand

I am using this laptop myself and I can tell you, this is really one of the best laptop you can get at this price. nnIf your needs are Surfing the net or watching HD clips on youtube, Watching HD Movies, Listening to music, Working on office documents such as excel PowerPoint, Editing Photos using photoshop etc, and you need a laptop that is ultra small, light, portable ...then this is surely the one... I got the exact same laptop, but not from flipkart, as it was still saying "coming soon" about a month back. This laptop comes with 500gb of hard drive, 4 gb ram and a HD ATI Rad. gfx card which makes you experience far better than any other laptop. Some points to note:-nn1. I had a 1.6 ghz duel core asus netbook before this but the performance of this with a 1ghz clocked to 1.3 is way faster than intel's atomnn2. Always remember, whatever AMD's GHZ the processor is, it is always double of that in an Intel. For example, this one is 1.3 ghz so the performance is the same as a 2.6 ghz processor of an Intel chip. nn3. The price is very cheap as all other brands such as Lenovo, Sony etc are all giving worse configutation than this that too at a higher price. nn4. These AMD processers do not get hot as other conventional AMD processers. They really stay cool at around 35 degrees. nn5. Comes with Windows 8 which is the best OS Microsoft has created till now. It shuts down in less than 10 seconds and boots up to your desktop just under 15 sec.nn6. Comes with LED screennn7. Resolution serves 1366 X 768 that too in High DefinitionnnAnyway, I highly recommend this to every one who is looking for a laptop. Nowadays there is no point getting a bigger laptop.

Acer Aspire One 725

Flipkart package for this product was really great....safe and very neat delivery package. Great work TEAM FLIPKART Windows 8 is good....just needed to clean up all those apps in the start screen which I dont use.It gets too slow with all those apps. The Clarity of the display is fantastic....The port positioning of USB, VGA are good.Maybe the positioning of the Power supply could have been better....I mean at the rear instead of the side. When I launched Acer backup recovery, saw a pop-up of upgrading but then it did not upgrade to the latest version....Dont know why. Keyboard is a neat hand-finger distance....with an extra key which makes printing and other shortcuts close as possible.... The weight is close to a good balance. The top cover could have been a matt finish as the polished surface is a great fingerprint attractor....I personally would not appreciate this too much. I am a bit disappointed about the material....looks a bit fragile while I personally think they could have made it slightly coarse on the surface to make it robust. International Warranty is a good positive point....for users like me who are frequent international travellers. |One more thing going . against the Product is the quality of the Camera....I can see this is not the best quality picture / video on webcams The add-on Netbook pouch is of good quality and has a neat soft velcro which works very well....The power supply adaptor with the different position changer is a good addition... I would have ended with 5 star rating but the only disadvantage I could see it the 1Ghz speed.....It could have been a higher speed when the RAM is 4GB and HDD is 500GB(which is perfect for my use). Need to check with multi-tasking with multi-windows. I am really impressed with this device and Acer registration is so fast....neat and friendly registration process. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO MY FRIENDS BECAUSE IT IS WORTH ITS MONEY EVERY BIT.

Windows 8 is shite ... nice surprise otherwise

I decided to buy a netbook around 2 years ago, when the screen of my HP Pavillion started to show the signs that death was imminent. Of the screen, not the whole laptop. But before the screen, its battery died. And my laptop became a desktop. And overtime, the screen became unbearable. Finally, I bought a monitor, and given my perversity towards Photoshop and Fifa, I bought a 1080p AOC 24-inch IPS display. And I was in heaven, for the next year or so. And then it dawned on me, I was using a desktop. Even when I bought a set of wireless mouse and keyboard from Flipkart, it was even more like Desktop. It all worked fine. It was just too much like my office. And I didn't like being reminded of my office when I was at home.nnSo the search began. My eyes finally set on three: HP, Asus, and Acer. They were almost same wrt display, battery, power and RAM (2GB seems like a standard), and had no OS. Which was fine, since I knew that being a Netbook only as powerful as my Galaxy S2, I was going to install Linux. nIf I had to decide then and there, it would probably have been the HP one. But what was stopping me was the thin design of the Acer AO 725. Even though it was costlier for nothing extra, it was good enough to delay my decision. nnI came back to Flipkart, and read through all the customer reviews for the three, and like always, I ended up being wiser about the Acer. What struck me was how one of the reviewers had upgraded their RAM to 4GB. And then there was one that said something about a 4GB RAM Acer already on Flipkart. Then what. 'Acer netbook 4GB' in the search bar, hit enter. Voila!nnBut Oops! this one was over budget, and the only thing different about it, that which the not-so-tech-savvy could understand, was that it came with Win8. And honestly, I didn't want Win8. But, knowing that the graphics card is going to share the memory from the RAM, and hence why 4GB was better, and that a 64-bit ARM dual-core would ensure that it worked it's ass off, I had to do it. So I clicked the Buy Now button, and was regretting every step I took forward, till the time I got the delivery at home. Flipkart has the unique way of making the whole thing so easy and fast, there's no time for second thoughts.nnAnd then I started to peel the onion that the Flipkart packaging is. When I finally had it out, I had to pause and wonder at its beauty. It's not MacBook Air, but it's delightfully thin, and oh so light. And then I switched it on, and everything went down the sewer. No, the display is nice and HD and everything, but Win 8. It's shit. It's interface is shit. It's start menu is colourful diarrhoea shit. The App store is an empty, painful, fart. But I knew I could hack myself into it, and I did, to some extent.nnNow that you've read it so far, I think I should come to the point and give my review:nnPros:n- weight, and size, and buildn- Display: (It's HD and is pretty darn good and bright, considering I've got used to a 1080p IPS)n- HDMI compatibility means I can connect it to my display, and this netbook manages to push the 1080p's with no problem at all (not that I do it that often)n- RAM. It's not crafted for watching HD movies, but it works pretty well when I have 15 tabs in chrome, 2 in Opera, 20+ unsaved files in Sublime Text 2, 5 pdf's, Windows music app, all open at the same time (like now)n- Battery: let's just say I never connect the cord while I am using the netbook, the unintentional habit of connecting it to power now and then had seemed enough. And it has happened more than often that I had to charge my phone via its USB while the lights were out at home, and the battery never went critical on men- USB 3.0: It wasn't obvious to me before I started using my USB 3.0 compatible External. 100MB/s transfer rate means, connect -> find ---> select ---> copy -> paste -> disconnect, all in 1 minutennCons:n- CPU Power: to tell the truth, this is just a netbook, HD movies are a no, no. Even sometimes skipping forward on a less-than-HD video was laggy. But after some fiddling with the power and performance settings (which is a chore to find in Win8), it should work fine, given your expectations are not too highn- arrow keys: are horribly small and congested; and since you can only access Home or End with Fn key, I never like editing any of my codes on this. Likewise for any gaming.n- Trackpad: likewise, too small, and sometimes flatly unresponsive to multi-touch gestures. I have to use my wireless mousen- Power, again: loading flash based, or heavy websites, is visibly laggy. Maybe that's why I rarely close my tabsn- Speakers: gravely underpowered, and just not that impressive at all, especially when watching videos on the web. Use Headphonesn- Windows 8: ... now come on!nnIn short, if you are willing to pay the extra dime for the extra RAM, and have some peripherals handy, then it's worth it. But, if you are paying the extra money for Win8, its not that you'd be wasting alot of it
