I needed a laptop for everyday use like web surfing, opening multiple tabs (several !), smooth touch screen to deal with windows 8, good keyboard for writing long mails, smooth touchpad (not ones with ugly buttons) and a good battery life. After more than a month of researching online, I had narrowed down to asus S400ca, lenovo flex 14 and this acer model. The Asus was too heavy with not so great battery and just did not feel right, the lenovo was ugly (and the extra price for a fourth generation processor was hardly worth it, considering the negligible, if any performance benefits of a 4th over 3rd gen intel processors). So I went to see the acer, and it was love at first site....that rose gold colour....ahhh...what a change from the usual blacks and greys and cheap silvers. Lovely laptop. First time I picked it up, it felt so light !! (Considering my previous laptop was the ginormous Acer Aspire 8940g, 18.6 inch, weighting 9.5 pounds !!) It was very comfortable to hold, the screen was fully glass (not glass within cheap black plastic bezel like the lenovo), the keyboard was decent (not as good as lenovo, but better / at par with asus), and the touchpad was just the way I wanted it...Big and Smooth with no clickitty clack buttons on it. Have been using the laptop now for 3 days, and the thing I noticed immediately regarding performance is how quickly it boots up ! About 12 seconds. The HDD is barely audible, and the 4 speakers on this laptop is better than the competition by miles. Clear loud sound :) Battery last about 5 and half hours with intense surfing on wifi. Webcam is better than competition as well. Also, it connects very well with wifi signals, no dropping, no weakness. Overall, I am super happy and would recommend this laptop to anyone having similar needs.
best touch experience and light weight laptop, looks are amazing with metal finish. i expored almost all brands for touch laptop, this one was exactly what i was looking for in my price range.
The laptop is nearly exactly what I expected but for the colour on the site is slightly different from the actual product colour. But over all very happy with the product. One more thing that could be done is to partition the HDD into C and D drives to maintain separate locations for software and files.
Perfect for university students and for small business enterprises
Wonderful product..don't have time to write the detailed review. :p But just one thing to say, its the best laptop in the price range..go for it..you will love it. :)
