Overall: Happy to have my first mac in hand...extremely thankful to flipkart for providing nice discount and 0%EMI. Since my place is not serviceable , shipped to my brother@chennai and he then brought it to me.Now..about this silver beauty...great ...

If you are looking for an affordable notebook from Apple, MacBook Air MD711HN/A is the one. It has wonderful features like fastest processor and onboard memory, HD FaceTime camera, long battery life and exciting apps. The SSD Flash memory is 9 times faster than traditional HDD memory, but its capacity has been kept low down in order to compensate on the price. It is one of the cheapest Macbook but the cost is till slightly higher than budget notebooks.

Display and Design

Apple MacBook Air MD711HN/A is an 11.6-inch LED Backlit glossy Widescreen display laptop with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. Available in white color, it weighs only 1.08kg. The full-size backlit keyboard houses 78 keys (US) or 79 keys (ISO), which include 12 function keys and 4 arrow keys with ambient light sensors. its multi-touch supporting trackpad offers precise cursor control with inertial scrolling, pinch, rotate, swipe, double-tap, tap and drag capabilities.

Hardware and OS

The Macbook is powered by 1.3GHz Intel Core i5-4250U 4th Generation processor, which can reach clock-speed of 1.7GHz by using Intel’s Turbo Boost technology. It has a 4GB 1.6GHz LPDDR3 onboard memory (RAM memory) which is configurable to 8GB. The Intel HD 5000 graphics processor provides congenial viewing and gaming experience.

The laptop operates on OS X Mountain Lion, Apple’s highly successful desktop operating system and can be upgraded to Apple’s latest, Mac OS X Mavericks.  

Memory, Entertainment and Communication 

Macbook Air boasts a 720p HD FaceTime camera (front camera) for amazing webcam chat and taking photos. It has 128GB Solid State Drive (Flash memory) for storing all important data. The audio devices included stereo speakers, dual microphones and a headphone port   

For communication it comes along with 802.11n Wi-Fi wireless networking; IEEE 802.11a/b/g compatible and Bluetooth4.0.

Battery and Ports

The battery of this notebook is a  built-in 38Watt-hour Li-Po entity, which gives up to 9 hours of wireless web, 8 hours of iTunes film playback and almost 30 days standby time. USB3 Ports, Thunderbolt port, MagSafe 2 power port are the connections and expansions ports.
