Asus Eee PC 1015CX-RED014W Netbook (Atom 2nd Gen/2 GB/320 GB/ExpressGate Cloud)

Bought this item recently . the flipkart delivery was ok and received the goods within 5 days of placing the order(thats within the 3-5 days window) coming to the product ---------------------- Aesthetics: Its small,neat and the red color (metallic finish) looks real good. there are 3 usb slots ,1 on one side,2 on the other.30gb HD and 2Gb DDR3 Ram. The display is antiglare and its good. the keyboard is good,the finishing is not very high end , but good. Only one blue light to show power on/off. No separate lights for capslock,numlock etc Performance ----------------- Good overall. I installed a couple of daily use stuff like msoffce,picasa,alshow player etc.and softwares like oracle 10g lite.Its running good. regarding video playback It cannot play 1080 BDRIP videos smoothly . The videos tend to get stuck in between at times. Also if u are viewing videos /movies(DVD quality) from an external source like External Hard Disk or pen drive then u may experience sluggishness.Better to copy it locally and view. Sound quality is good enough .Not very loud, But ok. Overall the netbook is a good buy considering the price. Good for daily activitie like nt surfing,music,movies, reading . Battery back up is good with almost 6 hours while multitasking(music,net,reading etc together).It will definitely increase based on activity levels. The netbook may feel a big sluggish at times when using at a stretch but thats negligible. It a 7-8/10 considering the feature and pricing. And it comes with a default OS-- asus expressgate, which can be replaced by Win 7 or the like. The Netbook comes with a cd from the manufacturer with most of the drivers and few useful utilities.This is a great advantage. If u are looking for a small cmpact stuff for daily uses and donot want to spend a fortune definitely this is a great buy. Happy Shopping !!!

Hi All, I have ordered a lot of things from flipkart, and finally i ordered this netbook. And I am very happy to say that flipkart delivered as per my high expectations. I got the laptop neatly and safely packaged. Now, the inside story, 1) As per look, this looks really nice. 2) I never liked the Express gate cloud OS, so installed Windows 7 ultimate. After installing the drivers provided with the netbook, it is working not any where less than a notebook.......I love the speed with which it works (I never expected it to be) :) 3) Sound and video quality is decent as per it's size. 4) Only draw back with this one is, unavailability of a dvd rom, but to get it away I would suggest you to buy a portable one in advance. Trust me, you don't want to end up making a bootable USB everytime you want to install or upgrade the OS. So, overall, I would rate it at 5/5..........A perfect fit and hit for me....:) I hope this review will be useful for you...:) Regards, Ketan
