Hi all,got the honour of the first buyer of this product. Delivery of product is very fast. Thanks to Flipkart team After use of some time it is getting hot. I will use it for 1 week then revise my rating back. Performance is good.battery is weak.Not work more than 2 hours Backlight control keys are also not working. Hi all, I am reviewing my rating. After installing of windows and all the drivers available in attached DVD, keyboard backlight is working fine.
This is a really good laptop at this price I got this for 60k and believe me it was a real deal
Bought this lappy (Win 10 version) on 17 Dec @ Rs. 58.5k...got it delivered on 21...superb deal. My first impressions for this product : 1) First and foremost is a packaging... FK did a great job in packaging this order.. Whole box was packed nicely in a tough corrugated box with FK prints.. Then inside it was a main Asus ROG seal packed black box wrapped in a transparent polythene which further contained laptop box and ROG backpack... Inside it was a laptop neatly packed in a yellow box with charger and documents (couldn't find the CD containing Asus drivers though). Overall I would rate 9/10 for packaging... Thx FK. 2) Now comes the Laptop itself. It is a bit heavy. It's also a finger print magnet. It has a DVD writer built-in with good mechanics (not the typical cheap drives that u find in economy brands). Keyboard is quite attractive and intuitive.. Red Backlit shines rediantly... The position of Power button is not usual, so it might take some time to get used to it. The negative aspect of KB is that the surface on which it rests is not solid so u might see and feel that whole KB panel being pushed by ur fingers and being bent and unbent while u do the typing (will be more noticeable when u push the keys mercilessly while playing games).. This is not a significant downside and u can ignore it... Function keys are good and standardized. There are no other shortcut keys like volume rocker, wifi switch etc. There are 5 indicators below the mouse pad glowing in orange and white... Mouse pad is a normal one.. As of now I have not updated the drivers so don't know much about its extra uses, if any. About the lid of desktop.... Its same like keyboard... Gets dupped if u push it a bit.... But that's all ignorable.. Show wise this lappy is elegant and neat... Can definitely stands out in a crowd. About display..its a full HD but Its not IPS, so difference is quite visible. Doesn't matter much if we use it on regular desk and chair.. But you have to maintain a proper viewing angle if you need to use it non conventionaly, say on bed or on ur lap. For display I would give 6.5/10. About sound... Haven't used for listening any music or video yet, however cortana experience was good and clear.... It has a powerful set of speakers for sure which are placed below the touch pad (where our palms rest) which are quite closer to the user. About internal build and performance.... Out of box it has a free space in HDD of about 886 GB. In idle position...Win 10 consumes around 2.5 GB of RAM and 1 to 5% of CPU. Laptop is quite silent and runs cool on normal usage. Will update my review in coming days after playing some games...
Review after using for a month: + Great laptop, can play most of the games in highest graphics settings without any heating problem. + Keystrokes also feel great. + Really good packaging; makes you feel special ;p The quality of Rog bag that came with laptop was a real surprise. - There is no led indictor for NUM lock. But unlike some other reviewers said, Caps lock, battery, flight mode etc have dedicated LEDs. - Plastic body, but looks good. - Display is not IPS, & the difference is easily visible; viewing angles r not that good. Since I'm connecting it to my TV, itz fine with me. Speakers/sound is average. Got the windows 10 model for 58.3k on offer, which is a great bargain.
