Verdict
The Asus X540YA would not only be termed as an affordable pick but also a smart choice if you looking for a laptop for a laptop for carrying out regular day to day task. One can certainly not ask for with just a small price tag as it has a decent configuration, excellent storage space, and  good display features. While windows 10 operating system makes it a just a perfect choice.
Display and Storage

The Asus X540YA laptop features a 15.6inch HD LED backlit Anti- glare TN display with a standard screen resolution of 1366X768 pixels which provides a clear display. It is available in Black colour and weighs around 2kg. For storage purpose the device consists of 500GB hard disk drive capacity along with a revolving speed of 5400RPM..   

Configuration and Connectivity

On the processing front the device consist of AMD Dual core E1-6010 with a clock speed of 1,3Ghz. For multitasking the processor is mated to a 4GB DDR3. while the AMD Radeon R2 graphics processor takes care of the graphic requirement. The device operates on Windows 10 Home premium based on 64bit operating system type. The connectivity options include - Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n and bluetooth v4.0. Some of the regular feature that is available in the Asus X540YA include - USB 3.0 slot, USB 2.0 slot, SD card reader, headphone jack, microphone jack, and VGA port.
