Verdict
The Asus X550CA-XX258D is a well built gadget designed for consumers who want a simple notebook and are not ready to spend much. You will have to compromise with its performance. However, you can have a good time with the SonicMaster speakers and a high speed DVD drive. It also boasts of sound connectivity options.

The Asus X550CA-XX258D is packed with a 15.6-inch TFT Color display that offers pleasurable visibility while showing pictures and videos with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, generally known as WXGA. It is wrapped in a 31.7mm thick body which may pose problems while carrying but can grab attention with its catchy white finish.
 
Processor and OS
 
Under the hood, the notebook is configured with an Intel Celeron 1007, a dual-core processor operating at 1.5GHz and built on HM76 Express chipset. To assist the CPU, there is a DDR3 RAM of just 2GB. Even if you wish to make it faster by loading additional RAM, you can expand it up to 4GB only. The Intel HD 4000 graphics processor unit takes care of the highly demanding HD media files.
