Verdict
In spite of a decent price tag, the Asus X550CC-XO029D is loaded with a host of powerful features hardly seen together in its counterparts. On one hand, the Intel Core i5 processor makes business computing easily and on the other, the 2GB NVIDIA graphics card gives enhanced gaming experience. It is also loaded with 1MP webcam, Gigabit Ethernet port and 750GB HDD. However, in order to account for the price, it has skipped an OS.

The Asus X550CC-XO029D comes with a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit display with a standard resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. On the inside, it carries a 1.8GHz Intel Core i5 processor belonging to the 3rd generation and loaded on HM76 Express chipset. It is aided by a typical 4GB DDR3 RAM which can be expanded via 2 unused DIMM slots for better response. The presence of 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M ensures enhanced visuals while playing demanding videos and games. It is devoid of any preloaded OS which is a big disappointment in this price range.
 
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
 
With a 1MP webcam above the display, the Asus X550CC-XO029D guarantees high resolution video calls. And the 750GB SATA hard disk makes sure that the user never runs out of space for storing files of all kinds. It even has a SuperMulti DVD RW Drive with which you can transfer info via CDs and DVDs. Powered by Sonic Master software the stereo speakers provide impressive audio quality.
