Display and Design
The ASUS X551CA sports a 15.6 inch HD LCD display with LED backlit with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels making it very comfortable to enjoy movies and videos for long periods of time. It is packed in a matte black polycarbonate body which is surprisingly light at only 2.1 kg’s. The matte finish keeps smudges away and makes the laptop look new every time.
Processor and Configuration
The Laptop comes with a Celeron 3rd Gen Dual core processor which is clocked at 1.5 GHz and is based on Intel’s HM70 express chipset. Alongside this, 2 GB of DDR3 RAM is provided along with an extension slot to expand it to 6GB. The GPU is handled by Intel’s HD 4000 which is capable of rendering smooth visuals with ease. There is no onboard OS and the device comes with DOS, which gives you the freedom to install the OS of your choice without any hassles.
Multimedia and Storage
The ASUS X551 comes with an inbuilt camera which is capable of recording videos at 720p and has dual microphones to allow distortion free sound capture. A DVD super multi layer drive with dual layer support also comes as part of the package with dual layer support. A 500 GB SATA Hard disc takes care of storage needs.
Connectivity and Battery
The laptop comes powered with all the connectivity options that a user may require such as WLAN b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, a USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 and an HDMI port. The power is managed by a 4 cell 45 Watt Li-Ion Battery pack which can keep it up and running for 4 hours or more with ease.
