Great Camera from Canon

Its a great camera although my camera came with a small problem of auto-rotate sensor. Its auto-rotate works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't work. Well auto-rotate has nothing to do with image quality or video quality so I am happy with that. Picture taken with this 14 MP camera are very sharp and clean. 720p HD video is also very clear and satisfactory. All in all camera satisfies with its great picture quality. Battery also lasts for more than 200 shots which is I think great and recharge time is just 1 hour and 30 minutes which I think is also very quick. Camera also comes with a USB and Standard video cable. All in all this camera is worth its price and it does its job exceptionally well. Although my camera has auto-rotate problem but it will definitely not be with others. And it is a very minor issue which can be ignored by me easily.

looking for solid pointandshoot camera for basic snapshot needs? Read here

Good features: >Simple, reliable, and affordable compact camera >Photo quality is very good to excellent for snapshots >Color performance is excellent from the A2200--bright, vivid, and accurate. >Exposure is also very good. >Produces nice photos and movie clips in HD 720 P >Video quality is on par with a basic HD pocket video camera >On a single charge the A2200 can get up to 280 shots. Bad Features >The camera's shooting performance is slow. >It takes little more time between the two images then its competitors in this segment. >Shooting performance is overall slow. >From off to first shot takes 1.7 seconds. >The wait between subsequent shots averaged 3.6 seconds >If you use the flash wait further increase to approx 6 seconds >The continuous shooting speed is pretty slow About look & Feel >Smaller, lightweight design >A2200 camera is made almost entirely of plastic but still looks good. >The controls and menus are straightforward >The buttons are somewhat flat, but they're big and easy to press. Verdict: Canon PowerShot A2200 is a solid point-and-shoot for basic snapshot needs with just enough extras to make it worth its price. The Canon PowerShot A2200 is a very good option for those just looking to take a good snapshot at a reasonable price. It's certainly easy to use and its auto mode is consistent.

Writing after using Bought this on May 13

What I Like: > Great pictures at this price > There are different options to take pictures > It has macro which means you can take objects pictures very closely > Battery recharges fast, like 1 -2 hours > Battery back up is good > It has wide angle > It has image stabilization option. > Very small and light weight. > Pictures come good even during night. It is you who should set the settings to match with the current weather so that you can take good pictures. > No need of panorama. Canon has panorama maker that is equally good as cameras that has panorama feature. > Very silent camera; doesn't make noise. > Its software is fast enough to take another pictures. What I may not like: > Its shutter seems like it may come off. However, I don't think its a problem. > Flash should have been placed where finger doesn't block the Camera flash. Its easy to accidentally touch flash while taking pics. So, we have to be careful not to touch the flash.

Not worthy

Bought this one few months back and totally disappointed with it as my sony ericsson xperia x10 which has 5 mp shoots pictures and videos better than this camera. HD video recording is without much details.Pictures in sunlight is good but the rest are all bad. Flash is effective for very limited distance. No panorama feature in this. Pictures are blurred at times. Not much details in pictures too. If you want a camera for namesake go for it :-)
