I purchased this camera about 2 days back from a shop. After using this camera for 2 days I can see that the camera is easy to use in auto mode(but very complicated to use in program mode) and the major problem I can see with this camera is that it gives very bad picture quality-particularly inside house. nnIf you open the pictures in MS Paint in its original size(4608 x 3456 for 16MP) the pictures look quire grainy and colours are totally washed out. My 6 years old 4.1MP Sony camera(S90) gives much better picture than this camera. The retail store from where I purchased wasn't willing to replace the camera(I know I should have purchased from Flipkart!) - so I am stuck with this camera for the time being!nnFollowing are some of the pros and cons of this camera:nPros:n1. Support for HD video recording. n2. Dedicated button for video recordingn3. Support for program mode(nowadays some low cost digital cameras don't have this feature)nnnCons:n1. Very bad picture quality - images look totally washed out and blurred when we see in full 16MP resolution(i.e. 4608 x 3456 size)n. (I checked some online reviews and found that using manual ISO mode with lower ISO gives better result than Auto mode. Tried and found some improvements with manual ISO 100/200, but still the pictures are not so crisp when we see in original size).n2. No mode dial – so changing between different scenes is a bit time consuming (it is hidden in Program mode). However, I think after using it for some time you would get used to the program menu. nnNote that in the LCD viewfinder the pictures will look very sharp and crisp due to the small size of screen(and that's how I got fooled by the shop who sold me this camera), but when you download the photos to your laptop and view in original 16MP size, then you would realize the problem I am mentioning about. nnBeing a canon camera which is known for good picture quality, I was expecting much better picture quality-next time I would think twice before buying a low cost canon camera.
For its price it has all the features.. Pictures are excellent outdoors and quick and fast operation. Excellent videos as well. Good for A4 page size prints. Negative: Pictures are grainy indoors so if you are thinking of taking prints more than A4 size - think again. And has no internal memory. The battery flap is kind of a drag.
