I am an engineer student and purchased one for my friend. Laptop is so cool and has very trendy and eye catchy look Processor works really great. Don't look at the clock speed. It is the latest technology from intel which is called ULV processor( Ultra low voltage processor ) . They are more power efficient and good at productivity. (all ultrabooks and macbook air has it, Also check the clock speed of them, even i7 has 1.8 GHz ) I mean think about it why intel bring the clock speed of p4 in this era it has increased numbers of cores and threades and this increase its performance . They are small in size and fast at work . Boot in windows 8 is amazingly fast ideal for daily use . Music , movies and internet. Gaming is decent. you can play low end games like CS and NFS most wanted easily. Webcam is HD so its great experience while chating. very light weight. Battery life is something i am big fan of. As mentioned above it has ULV processor, It consume very low power and hence gives the more battery life . While watching movies average battery died in 4:39 minutes and on normal office work ( MS office , internet ) it last long about 6:10 minute with low brightness and without any external device attached . . . They are also providing the one year accidental warranty which is great It is a quit decent laptop with extra ordinary features Looks are too cool. Textured finish make it very eye catchy Sound quality is awesome and its great while watching movies or listening music. Cons - It does not have dedicated GC. But in this price range it is good.
Pros: Good battery life Good processing power Quick delivery from flipkart CONS: No support for Linux from Dell support. WIFI stops working after you apply the online updates from Ubuntu for the first time. After calling Dell, the Dell representative replied saying that they don't have expertise on Linux and you can install pirated Windows OS which they can support. Bad customer support experience from Dell. However, I was able to fix the issue after some googling on Ubuntu forums. Basically what needs to be done is to upgrade the kernel from 3.2.0-56-generic to 3.2.0-57-generic and do an online upgrade . Hi Bought this laptop one month back and its working great, the only issue being the display driver not available on Dell website for 32 bit win 7 OS and very difficult to get WI FI drivers for WIN 7 32 bit... So i had to re install 64 bit OS.I saved some money on this purchase by purchasing it on http://www.mintadeal.com , these ppl are offering flipkart vouchers worth 2 % of your purchase ( got 600 rs voucher), you can use that site for further purchases on flipkart as it better than those messy deals on various sites.
We booked two laptop of Inspiron 3521 But received only 1 pc. When complining to Flipkart cusomer care they asked for 24hrs time to respond but has not responded. We have purchased laptops for gifting to our Son & Daughter but have no way to complin. In last, advice customer not to buy from flipkart
Dell has done it again!! A great configuration laptop at such a low price. Start up in Win 8 is really fast and the performance at such a price is overwhelming. For those which are worried about the 4 cell battery..Well these U processors consume very low power and this laptop amazingly gives 4-5 hrs backup under normal operation. Dell has also improved its battery management by providing two new options for controlling the battery charging and discharging. Overall one of the best products at such a price. I have been a Dell customer since last 8 years and this brand has never disappointed me. Besides this Flipkart---a great online portal to buy all kinds of products..delivery was much before the expected date (3 days advance). Thank you!!
