The Aurora Teagarden mystery series is authored by Charlaine Harris, who wrote the wildly popular Sookie Stackhouse vampire books series, from which the True Blood (2008) series was developed. The Sookie Stackhouse books are on the end of the bookshelf in one of the library scenes.
Four members of the cast have had acting roles on Stargate SG-1 (1997): Lexa Doig, Dan Payne, Ellie Harvie and Daniel Bacon. Also, director Martin Wood was one of the show's in-house directors.
