In the Lifetime version, the scene where Kathy Griffin comes to take Ebony Scrooge to see her past Christmases, the joke where Ebony says "But you're such a skinny bitch" and Kathy Griffin says "Did you just call me skinny?" was taken out for the Hallmark channel version and replaced with Ebony saying "But you're so annoying".
In the movie's final scene which takes place the following Christmas, the baby playing Ebony Scrooge's grandniece is Vanessa Williams' daughter Sasha Fox.
