TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Dame Olivia Newton-John not only has a supporting role in this film as the Mother of the Bride, but in keeping with her singing background, the film's soundtrack features old pop hits songs sung primarily by her. She also recorded a new original track for the movie.

Australian television presenter Angela Bishop is credited as "Channel Ten Reporter" (her actual real-life job), however her microphone has a fictitious network's logo on it and no mention of Channel Ten is ever made in the film.

Universal Music Australia released 'A Few Best Men: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Remixes' on 20 January 2012. The soundtrack is sung primarily by Olivia Newton-John and includes nineteen tracks.

Most Merino sheep are shorn prior to the summer, but in keeping with the script Ramsey, the sheep prized by the father of the bride, had to maintain his magnificent Merino pelt. This resulted in the production team having to keep him in air-conditioned comfort when not shooting, as the movie was filmed during the height of the Australian summer.

Director Stephan Elliott is most well known for his comedy-drama film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994), one of two hit Australian movies released that year, along with Muriel's Wedding (1994). Ironically, the latter is also a wedding comedy like A Few Best Men (2011), though it was much more well-received.

"Jim: So what do you do, Luke? Luke: I fall in love with women who then shit on me from a great height. Daphne: You shouldn't put them on a pedestal."
