TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

According to an article in Premiere Magazine 1997, all extras in the film had to sign an agreement promising not to attempt to approach/speak to actresses Michelle Pfeiffer or Jessica Lange.

'Jessica Lange' battled with producers during the editing phase of the film, during which time the film had gone through extensive re-editing. When released, Lange stated that the only thing about the film which worked were the performances.

Michelle Pfeiffer, one of the film's producers, traveled the talk show circuit in order to promote the film; a publicity standard she had avoided since the early 80s.

Michelle Pfeiffer stated in 2001 that she was unhappy with her performance in the film; a fact which saddened her given that she had been a part of the film's creation since 1992.

During the time of production, 'Jessica Lange' was preparing to star in the film version of Colette's novel 'Cheri'. However in the following years, the project stalled and was abandoned for nearly a decade when it was revived by director Stephen Frears who cast Lange's co-star Michelle Pfeiffer in the lead role.

Popular Dialogues

"Rose: We're not going to be sad. We're going to be angry till we die."

"Ginny: Rose left me with a riddle I have not yet resolved: how we judge those that hurt us and show no remorse."
