The photos in the opening credits were real photos that the cast took during filming while they were hanging out off set.
Executive producer Nick Kroll told each of the main five cast members that they had gotten their roles over Zoom calls. Kroll told each actor that they were going to do an improvisational scene, then proceeded to tell them they'd got the parts in order to capture their genuine reactions.
